Gigamon is revolutionizing Traffic Intelligence by adding new technology. It is designed for the service providers who want to manage the flow of traffic and to protect it from performance issues, access rights issues, and potential data vulnerabilities. It follows a Unified Visibility Framework to provide insight into the network traffic by organizations across both physical and virtual environments. It then passes the info to its centralized tools.

The Traffic Intelligence node is equipped with advanced network traffic filtering capabilities. These capabilities are:

  • Stateful correlation
  • Subscriber awareness
  • Deep packet visibility.

In this way more granular filtering and forwarding is provided to get the most relevant traffic.

The adaptive packet filtering of Traffic Intelligence can scan the content for making forward decisions and intelligent filtering.

Filtering involes advanced encapsulation protocols and above Layer 4 packet contents. IPv6 de-duplication, support for visibility in Cisco Fabric Path environments and IP fragmentation awareness is also added.

Traffic Intelligence provides a GTP correlation to service providers. It allows filtering and forwarding correlated subscriber traffic streams which is encapsulated by GPRS Tunneling Protocol, or GTP, within 3G, 4G or LTE environments.

GTP correlation is used for accessing mobile Big Data caused by transmission of more voice, video, and data across 3G and 4G/LTE networks. It also provides FlowVUE application, to service providers for aactive, subscriber-aware flow sampling.

It is the time to move forward from monitoring the exponential growth in subscriber and enterprise customers’ network traffic and data. The purpose-built Service Provider solutions, then provides more visibility to reduce churn in the user activity and drive subscriber growth.

With this transformation, better monitoring at lower costs and increased average profitability for subscriber ensure zero tool oversubscription no matter what it is, either NFV or SDN, or migration from 4G/LTE to 5G/CUPS.

It provides following solutions to service proiders:

Wireless Solutions

  • Conversion from 4G/LTE to LTE CUPS to 5G
  • Network Function Virtualization
  • Voice over LTE (VoLTE)
  • Network and application performance
  • Network capacity and security management
  • Regulatory compliance

Wireline Cloud Solutions

  • Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
  • Voice and video over IP (VoIP)
  • Software-Defined Networks (SDN)
  • Private cloud visibility
  • Network and application performance
  • Network capacity and security management
  • Regulatory compliance
